Shingles manufacturers usually produce hip and ridge shingles but you can make them yourself cutting the standard shingles into thirds. When you reach the top of the roof, trim the last row of the shingles even with the ridge and nail them down using longer nails.

Here is some before and after test footage. I still desperately need to modify the handle because its unconformable to hold. I have an idea I’d like to share, I just need to get to Lowe’s Home Improvement to purchase the piece. Just another little complaint about it, I wish I’d have cut the threaded rod to 14 or 15 inches instead of at 12. I feel the extra 2 inches would make a great deal of improvement. What I did to compensate for this is I actually removed the bottom plate’s weight washers and bolted them on from the bottom of the wood plate, instead of sitting on the top. It seems to be balance much better now.
